Who We Are

County Ambulance began providing exceptional EMS service in May 1982 and is currently the largest family-owned and operated ambulance in Western Massachusetts with two locations in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Due to the hard work of the many employees and management, County Ambulance is recognized as a leader in the industry. Training, quality improvement programs, and relationships we have with facilities such as Berkshire Medical Center have also enhanced the reputation for being one of the finest ambulance companies anywhere in the region.

County Ambulance is a provider of 9-1-1 emergency ambulance service to the City of Pittsfield since 1984.  These years have seen County Ambulance elevate the Pittsfield EMS system to be one of the finest in the state, in cooperation with many City agencies. We also provide Paramedic Intercept Service to Central and South County ambulance services.

Due to the Andrews family philosophy the company has become known as “The Company That Cares For OUR Community” County cares about its employees, its patients, and the many agencies and groups that they work so closely with. We consider all of them to be part of our family.

Our Leadership Team

Brian K. Andrews,  President

Brian Andrews is one of the founding Andrews family members of County Ambulance. Under his leadership, the company remains focused on customer service and safety and expanding the company to meet the needs of the ever-changing healthcare industry. His long history of being an educator helps the company maintain its clinical focus and always looking to the future of EMS. His dedication to EMS is evident through his roles with many EMS organizations on a local, state, and national level. He also remains deeply committed to his lifelong community through his involvement on local boards and in organizations.

Kevin W. Andrews,  Operations Manager

Kevin is another Andrews family member in the tradition of County Ambulance. He is a certified paramedic that manages the day-to-day operations of maintaining quality service. He is an active member of our team deeply embedded into the needs and support needed to help us to Care for OUR Community.

Thomas E. Andrews, Treasurer

Thomas is also one of the founding Andrews family members that set the high bar for the company’s long history of providing quality service in the Berkshire County region. His commitment to old-school financial and business principles has led County Ambulance to remain a much-envied business model in our industry.
