CPR Training American Heart Association Training Classes

AHA Heartsaver® Courses

We are an American Heart Association approved training center providing training for some of their most popular programs including

  • Heartsaver® CPR
  • Heartsaver® First Aid
  • Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
  • Heartsaver® Pediatric
  • Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
  • Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training. It is also an ideal course for those who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

  • First aid basics
  • Medical emergencies
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
  • Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

County Ambulance can provide these courses in a blended learning environment where initial course work is completed online or an in person instructor led program at your site or in one of our two training centers in Pittsfield.

Course length can be as little as 2.25 hours up to approximately 4 hours depending on the course method.

AHA Healthcare Provider Courses

County Ambulance also offers healthcare provider-level courses.

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

AHA Healthcare Provider Courses

All BLS course options teach the same AHA science-based skills and result in the same AHA BLS Course Completion Card.

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

County Ambulance can provide these courses in a blended learning environment where initial course work is completed online and skills completed at our training center or an in-person, instructor-led program at your site or in one of our two training centers in Pittsfield.

Full BLS Provider Course takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing

BLS Renewal Course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, including skills practice and testing
